Biography

Muhammed “Yakup” Altun is an experienced attorney with a specialization in intellectual property and transnational business law. He is excited to service the businesses of Placer and Sacramento County. He holds an LL.M. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and an LL.B. from Yalova University, where he graduated in the top 10% of his class. As the founding attorney of Altun Law and Consulting in Istanbul, Yakup represented clients in trademark, IP, commercial, and criminal law, handling cases before the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office and drafting numerous legal documents. With bar admissions in Turkey and California, Yakup is fluent in Turkish and English and is passionate about history, technology, and outdoor activities.
